What is it like living in Limerick as an expat?
Limerick is Ireland’s third largest city and is the capital of the mid-west region. The excellent infrastructure and transport links have made the city a commercial and administrative centre. Investment in the city has attracted Sci-Tech major players to Limerick. Medical device companies such as Cook Medical and container crane company, Liebherr are some of the major employers in the region. The job opportunities, lower cost of living and central location have drawn a large expat community to the region. As such there are many expat organisations and activities to keep you entertained. Limerick was recently the European Capital of Culture and the city has many festivals going on throughout the year. Sport in the city is dominated by Gaelic pursuits and Rugby union.
